Take a picture showing the multicultural diversity in Singapore to showcase racial harmony.
Add a caption of not more than 50 words to describe the picture.

Rivervale Primary Racial Harmony Day competition
Theme : Racial Harmony - Joint hopes, shared dreams
Submit maximum of 2 entries per person.
Email your entries to the following email address:

Use the 'subject' line to add in school name. the file name of submitted entry should be in the following format: "school name  - name of pupil.jpg" (eg. "Rivervale Primary - Tan Wee Teck.jpg")

Photos manipulation is limited to:
Moderate sharpening and enchancements to colour.
No post-production filters allowed. this includes infra red, gauze, mosiac, vivid.
Failure to comply with rules on photograph manipulation may result in disqualification of entry.
Photos are 2,000 pixels (minimum) wide or tall, in JPG format and under 10 MB each.
all entrys must be sumitted by 7th july, 2359hrs

'Freshness for life' Photography contest
Theme: Freshness for life
Your photo should show 'freshness' , the photo should be accompanied by a caption of no more than 40 words to describe the photo.
The photos must be in JPED format with 1400 pixels on the longest side and not more then 1 MB in size. (Please keep a high resolution of the photo in case you won the competition.)
Name your entries with your name.
For example, if your name is alan tan,your photo name should be alan_tan.jpg.

Student photographers will be selected from those who attended the Soccer Photography Workshops.

If you always dream of being an OFFICIAL photographer for an international event, this is one possible chance for you! If you are a soccer fan, that will be a double treat as there may be VIP soccer players there. Youth teams from Everton, Flamengo, Singapore U15 and U16 teams and other teams will also be taking part.

  • Heart of the School : Youth Photography Competition
          Theme: Heart of the School
          Submission end on Sunday 3rd July 2011, 11.59 p.m.
          -Only digital entries are accepted.(maximum of 4 photos)
          -Minimal digital manipulation (e.g. adjustment of contrast, saturation and cropping) are acceptable.
           However, any manipulation that distorts the reality of the image will be disqualified.
          -The file size must not be more than 1MB during online submission. Must be at least 2000 pixels on the               
            longer side of the image with minimal JPEG compression.
          -Please keep your original photo after submission.

  • Photographic Competition 2011 on Climate Change
          Theme: Climate Change(Take any photos that depicts climate change)
          Submission end on 1st July 2011, 5pm
          -Entry must be accompanied by a short title and brief caption of not more than 20 words.
           The caption should relate how the picture is related to the theme.
          -Minimal digital manipulation (e.g. adjustment of contrast, saturation and cropping) are acceptable.
           However, any manipulation that distorts the reality of the image will be disqualified.
          -Photographs should be 1,000 px (minimum) wide or tall, in JPG format and under 10 MB each.  
           2,200 px or larger is required for print consideration.

Dear media-club members,

There will be training on 19th May(Thursday) at 3pm and in Computer Lab 1. There will also be training on 26th May and 2 more on the last week before school reopens. Please book your holidays and try to be back in Singapore by 21st June.

There's a photography competition on URA-NYAA "I Love Singapore!"
The deadline for submission is 20th May 2011. The theme is to capture the character of the place with people enjoying the facilities at these iconic sites(Marina Bay, Singapore River and Bras Besah). Students who are interested must show their photos to Mr Ng by Wednesday, 18th May 2011.
